Sameer Sharma (3 May 1976 – 4 August 2020) was an Indian television and film actor. He was best known for his portrayal of Shaurya Maheshwari in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Brij in Jyoti, Nitin in Dil Kya Chahta Hai and Krishna Agarwall in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.^[1] He was found hanging in his kitchen at his Mumbai residence on 5 August 2020.^[2]

Personal life[edit]

Sharma hailed from Delhi, and moved to Bangalore after completing his education. He worked for an advertising agency, an IT company and for Radio City in Bangalore.

Career[edit]

Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his career in acting. He made his television debut with STAR One's Dil Kya Chahta Hai (as Nitin) and following that, played Krishna Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki.^[1]

On SAB TV, he played Captain Naveen Singh Ahluwalia in Left Right Left and Mannat (Mannu) in Four. He also portrayed a hockey coach and an aggressive lover in the Veeranwali serial on 9X.^[3]

Death[edit]

Sameer was found dead at the age of 44 at his residence in Malad West, Mumbai on the night of 5 August 2020. The police said on 06 August, 'Looking at body's condition, it's suspected that he died by suicide two days back.'^[2] His body was discovered hanging from his kitchen's ceiling fan ^[8] by the security guard.^[9] Police said that no suicide note was found at the spot.^[10]

In the last episode we saw that Shrishti comes up with a plan to teach a lesson to Mahira and Sherlyn. She locks both of them in store room outside the mansion. Sherlyn sends a message to Prithvi asking for help getting out of the room. The message takes time to reach Prithvi who is also high on bhaang. He somehow manages to reach the door and open it for Sherlyn to leave. To avoid any problem, Sherlyn locks Prithvi in the store room till he sobers up. Karan locks the room and asks Preeta to tell him that she loves him. Instead, Preeta takes a pillow and begins beating Karan with it. Soon enough, they are having a pillow fight.
